Welcome to Rivaa ("we", "our", "us"). Rivaa is operated by Rivaa Technologies Inc. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe, secure matching experience. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application ("App") and associated websites.

2. Information We Collect

To provide matching and verification services, we collect the following types of information when you create an account or interact with the App:

  • Profile Information: Name, gender, age, birth date, sexual orientation, preferences, interests, and profile description.
  • Photos & Media: Uploaded profile pictures. We also request camera permissions to capture verification selfies. These verification selfies are used solely to confirm identity and are not shown publicly on your profile.
  • Location Data: To display profiles of other users nearby, we collect geolocation information when you authorize the App to access your location. You can disable location tracking in your device settings at any time.
  • Contact Information: Your email address used during sign-up to authenticate your account and send security/support notices.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information strictly to support matchmaking features, ensure safety, and improve the App:

  • Facilitating Matches: Using your location, age, gender preferences, and shared interests to suggest potential matches.
  • Profile Verification: Processing your verification selfies against profile photos using local/secure algorithms to assign a verified badge, minimizing bots and duplicate profiles.
  • Communication: Enabling text messaging and in-app interaction between matched accounts.
  • Security: Monitoring for fraudulent activity, terms violations, and bad actors.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

Rivaa does not sell, lease, or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We share information only under these conditions:

  • To Other Users: Your public profile information, profile photos, and interests are visible to other users. Private communication and verification selfies are never shared.
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or regulation to protect our users or rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain your profile, matches, and messages only as long as your account remains active. Selfie verification captures are processed immediately and are purged once the identity match is confirmed. If you delete your account, all personal information is removed from our operational databases as described below.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You may access, edit, or delete your account at any time:

  • In-App Deletion: You can completely delete your account and all associated profile data directly in the App by navigating to Settings > Account Settings > Delete Account. This action immediately deletes your matches, chats, photos, and verification metadata.
  • Manual Data Deletion Request: If you cannot access the App or wish to request data deletion via email, you can follow the detailed instructions on our Support & Deletion Page or email us at support@rivaa.co.
